World's Richest countries




1.    Singapore - US$61,567 (S$77,457) per person. Singapore's GDP per capita is up 2 per cent from 2012. The IMF expects Singapore's GDP per capita to rise to an astounding $77,000 by 2018.

2.   Norway - US$56,663 (S$71,288) per person. Norway's GDP per capita is up 3 per cent from 2012. The IMF projects Norway's GDP per capita to grow to nearly $66,000 in 2018.

3.   United States - US$51,248 (S$64,475) per person. US GDP per capita is up 3 per cent from 2012. The IMF expects a per-capita GDP of more than $63,000 by 2018.

4.   United Arab Emirates - US$49,883 (S$62,758) per person. UAE's GDP per capita is up 2 per cent from 2012. The IMF expects the UAE's GDP per capita to grow to more than $57,000 by 2018.

5.   . Switzerland - US$46,474 (S$58,469) per person. Switzerland's GDP grew 3% in 2010 and an estimated 0.9% in 2012. The IMF expects Switzerland's GDP per capita to rise to more than $54,000 by 2018.
